Changing width on KK roatary cutter
Tried a HF quick hitch, which worked on everything with the exception of my KK rotary cutter. Pins are too wide to catch in the hooks, but reversing them to the inside won't work either. Has anyone modified one of these to work with the HF hitch? Would there be any problem with reversing only one of the pins to the inside - I think this might get the pins within range of the hooks.

Re: Changing width on KK roatary cutter
Had this same problem, same KK, same hitch. Ground, cut and now it hitches pretty good, but not the way I'de like it to. Do you have any pictures of your intentions? This looks like something simple, but the more I try, the results I expect just aren't there. Open for suggestions too.

Re: Changing width on KK roatary cutter
I had same problem. I moved the metal bars from the outside of the angle on the deck to the inside of the angle iron. Gained about 1 1/4 inch total and now works better.

If you flip one pin the the top hook of the qh will not catch the toplink pin.

Re: Changing width on KK roatary cutter
I tried this, but I could not get everything to line up at the top link hookup - did you remove the spacer? I was thinking of heating it with a torch to bend and get the angle right, but have not attempted yet. On mine, the collar on the pins throws it just about 1/2" off on getting hooked.

Re: Changing width on KK roatary cutter
Does anyone have any experience in doing something like this? Tried again to move the metal bars to the inside of the mounting points, but can't get the top link area to line correctly.
