Here is the grille I have been building for my Allis Chalmers WD45. The tractor is going to live at our mountain property once the pole barn is complete and I thought it could use a grille. I have about $50 in the grille so far and just need to paint it. I decided to build this in fear of smashing my sheet metal or radiatior, plus I got to test my Hobart 140 mig. Im thinking of painting it black to offset the orange.

looks good. nice and utilitarian like the tractor it is mounted to.

sure as heck beats a stick thru the radiator.

Looks good. Paint it black and it will give it a menacing look.

That should certainly offer a good bit of protection. I like it!

My favorite brand of tractor!!! What about adding a bar on the back side in the middle to keep the expanded metal from being pushed in the case you so hit something? Nice job by the way.

Thanks guys! I thought about adding a piece of flat stock across the back but changed my mind. The expanded metal is pretty stout and I couldn't even bend it by hand. Also I just put a coat of black paint on it.
