Tractor
john deere 950
Hi,
I had my john deere 950 rebuild finish and running like a kitten, I wanted to add a heat temp gauge oil filled to the tractor instead of the light indicator, I'm having trouble finding a a fitting to connect the gauge to the block where the temp sensor was removed. I'm guessing right now that the threads on the temp sensor is 14mm (can't get an answer from JD dealer ) The gauge I have found so far is a 1/2 inch npt. Any thoughts as to where to find a fitting or another idea on how to attach an oil filled temp gauge to this tractor ? #2 If I use an adapter on the block do you think the probe will be out far enough?
Thank you

Ray,

I did pickup a set when I bought the gauge , one did seem to fit the opening but, didn't seem to have the right thread pitch, Good news is no leaks.
