Just bought a LS xr3037 does not seem to be much clearence for tire chains. Will screw in studs work on hard packed snow or ice ? I have the r4 tires front and rear.

The "rules" are that you should never do anything like welding or drilling a ROPS as you might weaken it. Would drilling a hole that size in the ~10mm thick brace be enough to matter?
Chances are you are probably safe. However I wasn't willing to risk it when I mounted lights to my ROPS. I clamped rather than drilled. I'd rather not screw with my safety devices, especially when other options won't be much harder.
Could you clamp a bracket to it instead of drilling relatively easy?
Finally able to start installing the power rear view mirror and radio, still have to run the camera wires.![]()
