Just bought a LS xr3037 does not seem to be much clearence for tire chains. Will screw in studs work on hard packed snow or ice ? I have the r4 tires front and rear.

Maybe a Moderator or Admin can most this post to the LS section.

A few nights ago, I was working late doing an aeration job on some baseball fields. With the holidays coming up, I had them turn the lights on so that I could work late. I have 2 cameras mounted front and rear on my tractor. This first video was taken at night with the stadium lights on. I could see the picture on the screen pretty good, and it was useful for viewing the aerator on the back of the tractor. The next video I will post is taken the next day in full sun. It will show that the system is pretty useless in full sun, even inside my cab.

This second video was taken the next day in full sun. As you can see, I couldn't really see anything on the screen and the system is pretty much useless in full sun. Later in the day, it became overcast and cloudy, and I could see a little better.

Hi all
An engineering kind of question - I am in the process of installing front and rear cameras (link) in my Kioti FX751 cab tractor. For the monitor, there is an unused bracket with a nut attached already welded to the ROPS top left in the cab, and then a corner brace as shown in the image below. I am considering drilling a small (~4-6mm) hole in the corner brace to hold a home made bracket about where the blue outline is on the photo. The "rules" are that you should never do anything like welding or drilling a ROPS as you might weaken it. Would drilling a hole that size in the ~10mm thick brace be enough to matter?
Thanks, Mort

As long as you don't punch thru, with your drill, and pierce your windshield, you will be okay. Is there enough space to put something between the ROPS brace and windshield?

When you fill new hole with a bolt, your brace will be just as strong as before.

Chances are you are probably safe. However I wasn't willing to risk it when I mounted lights to my ROPS. I clamped rather than drilled. I'd rather not screw with my safety devices, especially when other options won't be much harder.

Could you clamp a bracket to it instead of drilling relatively easy?

I agree it is best not risk altering a safety device. In an ideal world it would probably be a non issue. Should it ever fail at that point with another operator even if it did not become a legal concern I would still feel bad if someone got hurt or worse.

An n52 magnet 1" diameter by 1/4" thick will hold it on no problem.

Finally able to start installing the power rear view mirror and radio, still have to run the camera wires. :)

Nice set-up countrybumpkin!! I know that I am replying to an old post but I was wondering if you could elaborate on how you mounted this to the rear view mirror bracket? Is it mounted to a ball so that it can be tilted? If so could you take a picture of the backside of the display?
