I bought a Speeco Quick Hitch from TSC a few months ago. I wanted a way to attach 3PH attachments to my FEL. Figured it would be an easy attachment to modify to fit my FEL. That was the easy part. Measured all the attachments that I wanted to attach before I purchased to make sure that I would not have to do a lot of modification. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I have hooked it up to the 3PH for the winter. Hooked up my Kubota Weight Box first. It took a couple of hours of modification to make the Quick Hitch fit the Box. Grinding, drilling holes, and beating on things to get it to fit by just backing up and raising the lower portion to the pins. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Had to hook up the adapter link to get the top link hooked up. It is easy job now but it sure took awhile.

Next I wanted to hook up my Land Pride RB3572 Back Blade. Had to do more beating with a sledge hammer on the blade mounting to get it to fit the lower attachments to the Quick Hitch. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
I did get it to fit. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I thought that since I had measured the distance between the three point pins I would be all set and not have to modify any attachments as others have. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I hope I’m not going to have to do as many modifications to get the Rotary Cutter, Box Blade, Landscape Rake, Core Aerator, Boom Pole and Rototiller to fit. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I have attached some pictures of the project.

The first one is of the modification made to fit my FEL’s Quick Coupler.

Ronjhall. . . interesting project but it sounds like you spent more time beating implements with a sledge hammer than I would have the energy for. Did you just consider one of the other options like a Delta, Liberty or Freedom hitch that have male/female couplers on them to make your connections? Given you want to mount it on the FEL, I doubt you'd have been able to get a the Pat's Easy Change to work because of the lack of a top link, but I think some of the other types of systems might have worked easier (although they would have cost more).

All that said, you did a nice job modifying the set up. I'm sure it will work fine on both ends of your tractor.

I made the modification to the Quick Hitch so I could hook up my Boom Pole and put and remove items from the upper floor of my barn. If it wasn't for that need I would probably have bought Pat's Easy Change System.

I never thought of taking the bucket off the front end and putting on a 3pt hitch, but with the addition of a boom pole it makes a heck of a lot of sense and will give you the reach to put loads up very high. JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A LOT OF COUNTER WEIGHT on the rear end of the tractor. Adding weight to the end of a boom pole on your front end is going to dramatically change the weight distribution of your tractor and if you don't have enough weight on the back you might find the rear wheels will be very light.

ronjhall..... never force it, get the next size larger hammer! If you can't beat it into submission, you are not swinging a big enough hammer.... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
You can be proud of the work you have done... looks great and that ORANGE sure is a pretty color...... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

The largest hammer I have is 16lbs. I don't have to swing it very much. The weight does most of the work if I can lift it. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I painted it Orange because that’s the color I had. Couldn't find any of the faded Speeco Red . /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Ron:

One thing about buying any item at TSC (Tough S*** Charlies), every item you get is either faded, bent or dis-figured in some way or another.

Even the bags of candy by the cash registers are crushed or damaged in some way.

I really miss Quality Farm and Fleet.

Funny you should mention that. I was in the Howell store yesterday. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
They were cleaning the whole place up. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
There was even room between the racks and shelves. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
