I'm in steep timber a lot. You get used to it and get very familiar with your tractor's ability.

Did you notice the wheel spacers Greg is running?

No, I didn't but that will add lots to stability. I'd still pucker up.

Check out post #13 on page 2 for wheel spacers picture.

I got out in the woods a bit today... limb risers do in fact work, was nice to not have things smacking me in the face! However, it renewed my enthusiasm for mesh back and side panels.

 I've got some trails that don't get enough attention where you best be paying attention as a passenger on the atv or you're getting whipped.

Do you think it'll change how it feels to drive around if you're caged in? I like the idea of a mesh to keep stuff off me, but I like the open station for how exposed it feels. Kinda like driving a jeep without a top or doors vs having a big sun roof and the windows down - there's no comparison which is the better experience to me.

Jim, yes I like the open feeling too. Mesh panels will be easily removed. My ride in my high-school days was an often top-less 1979 jeep cj7.

Sixdogs: ask and ye shall receive.

Installed, adds 4.5" per side.

Jig for assembly

That was a bunch of 5/8" holes to drill... shavings filled a 3 lb coffee can. (Which I gave to a friend for his birthday as a joke)

Axle/wheel spacers are pretty clever. You're just full of good ideas that I can steal. :D
Uhh, what else have you made?

What else? Ummm... some kids that are really great, despite wanting to give them away at times, I'd get a bit upset if you stole them! *grin* sorry, there's forum rules again to posting pictures of how I made them!

All jokes aside... I've made quite a few things over the years, most are simple 'repair what's broke, but improve a little' type things. I'll continue to share my endeavors as time goes by, hoping it helps othersas much as others have helped me.

I made some quick brackets to hold my chain storage pipe, as the lower cage mounting points now live where they used to... on the loader mounts.

The blueprints

Hack it up...

Weld them together, make 2.

Tip: put carriage bolts in brackets before bolting bracket to pipe. Unless you just like to put things together just to take them back apart to put them together another time.
