I often want to raise or lower the discharge chute on my Kubota BX mid-mounted mower, to either disperse the grass widely by running with the chute up or keep from blowing it onto fencing or sidewalks by keeping it lowered. So I just came up with a super simple device to raise/lower while mowing. It is just a rope, pulleys and a cam cleat along with a simple metal bracket.

The bracket is just angle iron and steel rod and drops into the tractor's front loader mount. The bracket is 1/8" thick angle with a 3/16" thick piece of flat stock welded to it for a total thickness of 5/16" at the bottom. There just happens to be a 5/16" wide gap in the loader mount.

And here is a short video clip - sorry about the terrible video quality!

Anyway, this thing worked so well on the first try it made me break out in a big smile!

That's pretty slick! Where did you get the cam cleat?
