TnT: Kubota\'s vs Integration Engineering, Part 1
Bought a Kubota L4330 this summer from a relatively new dealer. Ordered it with Kubota's TnT option, dealer installed. Since the dealer had never seen one and I couldn't find a picture, I wasn't sure what to expect. What I was hoping for, at $700 plus tax, free freight, free installation, was a clean setup designed specifically for that tractor series. Attached is a picture.
The biggest surprise was how big these cylinders are. 3 3/8" diameter. One of these pictures has a quarter $ on the top link body end for scale. They must use this same option for the bigger M series. These are too big to fit the bottom attachment hole above the PTO.
The stiff, 3/8 hoses have a mind of their own and routing them neatly is impossible.
A cummulative effect of the large cylinders. nest of hoses, SMV sign, and ROPS in the down position makes it hard to see the ground near the rear of the tractor. You can't blame it all on the TnT but it contributes.
Also, these cylinders drift. I could see it the first morning I bush hogged. That is what prompted me to mention it to the dealer.
These components appear well made and they worked. There was no permanent Kubota ID on any of the parts unless it was stamped and painted over. I wonder if Kubota is just a middleman on a design they weren't too involved with. But at that price, they were a disappointment. When l mentioned those concerns to the dealer, HE VOLUNTEERED TO TAKE THEM BACK, FULL CREDIT.
