OK, you guys have convinced me I need to change my 3 point backhoe to a frame mount. While it has been working very well, I would like to add the sub frame structure. I understand how and where to attach the front rails, but not clear on where the rear attaches. My tractor is a Jepe 354 and has a beefy rear axle, there are 2 spare threaded bolt holes on each axle facing to the rear. Should I use these to bolt the sub frame to, and maybe a combo of this and where the drawbar attaches or maybe the top link also. I have never saw a good picture of the rear attachment points and could really use some help here. My backhoe runs off the tractor, so I would like to move the backhoe up as close to the rear as possible to help overcome the leverage thing. Thanks, any help is appreciated. BEAR

Sorry no real useful pics of the rear attachment. On mine, there are 2 brackets that bolt to the axle housing. The subframe "quick attaches" to them by means of a hook and pin on each side. Similar to the one on the front. Very easy to remove and the subframe stays with the hoe.

Here's one more from a different angle. I've got a few more but don't want to bore anyone.

The back hoe uses the three point hitch attaching points on the tractor. The two lower, one on each side of the sub frame attach to the two lower points on the tractor chassis. Three point trailing arms are removed. The top link is also used but not so much as a weight bearing link but (I think) as a sort of stablelizer. The major weight of the hoe is carried by the sub frame. It is constructed of 5/8" - 3/4" plate and runs up under the tractor. There is long pin that attaches the front of the sub frame to the bottom of the tractor. This is the fourth attaching point.

Thanks GAFAQ_33. Would a combination of these points be OK for attachment. I planned on using 2x4x1/4 box steel for the subframe going underneath with cross members tieing them together.

Bigbear,
Here are a couple of pics of the sub frame I made for my L2900 w/ Woods 750. Works well.
First the rear mount, made from 3/4" plate vertically to the top link lower portion is mostly 1/2" material.

The bottom of the rear mount, also allows a swinging draw bar.
