Red, blue, orange, green...did I miss any?
Here is a set of chain holders I made for my tractor. Started with 4x4 square tubing 16 inches long. Capped the bottom (water can drain through). Welded them to my loader brackets. Thanks to all for the ideas...hopefully this will help someone else.

A little Kioti grey paint and it is ready for the chain!

Not to bad a match for paint. It is a little lighter but looks ok. I did the exact same thing on the other side of the tractor.
Cheers!

Now that I like, usually just throw mine on the floor board, and a couple of times have had to back track. I have some 3 1/2 in. tubing that will work, soon as I find the time and a place to mount it. I'm still looking for the ideal place and way to mount my chain saw, then I'll need a place to carry the combination gas/chain oil can, never stops does it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nice looking chain holder. I need to make one or two of those.

What is the 'light' arrangement shown in this pic?

Great idea! I have been looking for a compact way to store my chains and your method will work well for me.
Thanks for the idea.

They are the turn signals. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif The loader frame had them covered up already. The tractor is off road only. I think I may still move the signals in front of the chain holders when I have more time.

When you make the boxes consider making several. I put on three. This photos is from an earlier popst of mine. I carry three chains.

Chains get stuck in a deep box. Consider using a wind box section that is shallow.
