I found that the snowplow on my JD 2520 would not clear the width of the tractor, so I set out to find a solution.
I found a Meyers 6 ft plow, and refurbished it. I removed the A-frame, and used the frame/plow pivot as the start of my adapter.
Using two pieces of 1/4" 1018 plate, I fabricated and indexed the two vertical sides of my 'H' adapter to the inside of the JD Quick-Hitch. Another piece of plate made up the horizontal of the 'H', and 5/8" rod used in the same fashion as the JD original. Giving consideration to the final position of the plow, with several trial fittings, all was welded and braced as seemed appropriate. Cleaned and painted to befit a JD.
A fun weekend project!
I think this mount will work with all 2000 series JD's, and some of the smaller garden series.
