So today i started to get ansy and did some round up around one year old seedlings. I used a piece of cardboard to protect the tree but I noticed that once the cardboard would get saturated it would "wet" the tree. I cleaned off the tree with my hand thinking that it should be okay as I did not saturate the complete tree on any greenery it was more the young bark and maybe a few needles of spruce trees.

What do you think? will they be okay.

So i have about 3 acres i need to turn from weeds into grass.

Its been all leveled out by the previous owners but has some ruts from the 755 that are really no big deal. The yard is full of weeds with a mix of crab grass.

Couple ideas i had are:

1. cut the weeds low and spread grass seed in the fall.
2. cut the weeds, round up, till, level and seed.
3. cut the weeds, round up, till, let the weeds grow back, round up, till level and seed.

Im not after a golf course lawn for the full 3 acres.

What are your thoughts?

thanks

I have a big headache when i think about what should i buy form my property. I have 2acres of land and i dont know whats should i buy a small tractor, pick up maybe ATV. I just brought a house and its lots of trees on the land that has to go. I know soon somebody have to cut grass, will be nice to have something to cut grass, be able to pull stuff like tree branches, be able to attach a trailer to it , but not sure if the grass tractor is strong enough to do all this things. hellpppppp!!! (budget $2k,$3k)
