We got our used 2000 TN75D home and really love it! We are now in the process of upgrading the rims and tires. We have 10.5 x 20 inch on the mfwd front, and 16.9 x 24 on the rear. Both are industrial tires. We found a set of 16.9 x 30 ag tires for the rear, and think we found a place that will build 24 inch front rims for us. Nearly impossible to find used rims anywhere!! With that in mind, what would be a fair price to ask for the used rear tires and rims that we will take off? Tires are about 50%. Will it be difficult to find a buyer for them? Was told it is a fairly common size for the backhoe type tractors. We will sell the front 20" rims too, but those tires are wore out. Just trying to get an idea on some prices to be fair before I advertise them. Thanks!

True to the original models, New Holland's new WORKMASTER tractors are dependable, basic workhorses that are simple to operate and easy on the wallet.
The 45-hp WORKMASTER 45 and 55-hp WORKMASTER 55, which replace New Holland's popular TT45A and TT50A tractors, are powered by proven, fuel-efficient, four-cylinder New Holland engines. The engines are Tier III emissions compliant and can be operated with diesel or B5 biodiesel fuel. They deliver quiet start-ups and smooth, quiet operation.

Just like the originals, the new WORKMASTER tractors are built to work hard and last long. Their strong, cast iron axles effortlessly handle the stress and strain of heavy loader work. Big three-point hitch lift capacity (more than 2,500 lbs. on the WORKMASTER 55) means the tractor can manage larger implements. And for added traction and better performance in tough, slippery conditions, WORKMASTER tractors are available with a front-wheel-drive axle option.

Simple and reliable
With an 8x8 transmission with four constant mesh gears in two ranges, WORKMASTER tractors provide speeds to match any task, from mowing to loader work. Gears are set up in a simple H pattern, and shuttling between forward and reverse is easy. A synchronized mechanical shuttle lever, conveniently located to the left of the steering wheel, makes controlling the loader a cinch.
The comfortable, open operator station is designed for operator convenience with plenty of foot and leg room. Controls are easily accessible right next to the seat, and bright, clear, analog instrument gauges are easy to read. The suspension on the deluxe, contoured seat adjusts for operator comfort. The sloped hood and rounded fenders provides outstanding visibility, another big plus for loader work. And the vertical exhaust directs noise, heat and fumes away from the operator.
New Holland's WORKMASTER tractors are expected to be available at New Holland dealerships in early 2010. MSRP for these tractors starts at approximately $15,600 (C$21,000).

From what I have seen I think that there is more than 1 option but I am not very famiiar with the loaders. I know that the 32lc is pretty common, but I didnt know what other options there was. Is there a quick attach loader you can drop and back away from that is pretty time friendly in attaching and unhooking? Thanks

I'm looking at a 1987 Ford 1920 with 1300 hours. Has FEL (7108) and subframe mounted backhoe. Turf tires, front wheel assist, 12x4.

With 6' flail mower in good condition and brushrake and pallet forks (not much to speak of) asking 10k.

Now the FEL does not seem to lift the front. The system seems good, it will lift the mower 800 lbs or so with no problem. Hydraulic fluid looks good, no leaks.

When I push the bucket down it "lightens" the front but does not lift. If I roll the bucket down it rolls the bucket but the lower rams extend and the front still does not lift. Is this a warning sign, or is there a stuck/leaky valve or something??

In short, the up seems to be strong but the down less so...

Thanks.

Hi...new to the forum, but some of the info I've found here has been very helpful in our search for a different tractor. We have committed to a used tractor a ways away, and will be picking it up early this week. What are the key things to look for when picking it up to make sure there are no problems? We were told other than the need for new front tires, everything is in fine working order.

The tractor we got is a 2000 NH TN75D, with mfwd, cab, FEL from NH, and it has 2550 hours. It also includes a new bale spear along with the bucket and it also has a joystick in the cab for a electric hydraulic converter on the back to run addtional outlets (was used for a batwing mower). Not 100% sure of which tranny it has...it has 2 gear selector levers, and the forward/reverse lever is on the right side of the seat (not on the column) and it requires the clutch to change direction (not electric shift). We got the whole package for $18,000 which we thought was really good while shopping around. Just need to know if there are any key things on this model to look for at pickup that would raise some red flags. Thanks for your help! Mark

I am curious about the cost of an engine overhaul on a TN90F. I would be doing the work. I dont a have a machine shop so Id have to pay for that. The tractor I am looking at has 7K hours on it and it has a transmission with a clutch 16x16. It runs well now, but I know that stuff happens. Should I be more worried about the engine or tranny? and how bad would it be to overhauld this machine? I am talking about price for parts, and how many hours will I have spent and how many knuckles will I have busted?

Ok guys, here is th story. My brother and I have been looking into buying a 50-60hp tractor for a while now and have ben waiting for a deal to come along. I think that I have finally found one but there is one major item I am questioning. We are looking at a 2004 TN60, less than 600 hours, dual rear remotes, 32LC loader, with the good tires and MFWD. This package I can get for a little under $16,000. The only thing that we are not nuts about is that is has an 8x8 transmission instead of the 12x12. According to the literature, the 8x8 is a constant mesh transmission instead of synchronized. What exactly does this mean? Are we going to be dissapointed vs the 12x12? We are going to use it primarily for hay work right now roughly at 50 acres or so, but it will be used for other things, i.e. bushhogging, moving logs etc in the woods, moving stone, etc etc. I think that the price is good on the tractor, but I am not sure how much the 12x12 would add to the price and if this deal is just good, or it is great. Please let me know your thoughts and I appreciate the help on everything.

Thanks,
