I am new to the world of hydraulics. I just purchased a used Bushhog BH and didn't want to contaminate the hydro system on my new tractor with the old fluid still in the lines. I have no idea how long it has been sitting up. The BH dosen't have a pump ,it runs off the tractors hydro system. Can someone tell me how to flush the lines properly ? Thanks in advance for all help.

Just got a new stump bucket grapple for my bobcat. It came with the hydraulic cylinder and I am going get the proper length hoses made for it. Thing is the bobcat hydraulic system is 15gpm at 3000psi. That little cylinder is going to open & close instantaneously with the electric over hydraulic auxiliary switch. I think what it needs is called an in line flow control valve but I'm not sure. If that is right, any ideas of how far down will the gpm have to go to smooth out the grapple's motion. any suggestions would be appreciated.

I had the FEL controls installed because it was less expensive than the rear factory setup. I have long hoses to my top and tilt from the FEL QC generally located at the rear of the engine. This is poor at best, but I can live with it. The keeper around here says no 5 grand loader in the picture. My question is, how can I add two more remotes, do I connect the current hoses to one of the electric diverter valves and continue to operate with the joy stick or is it better to plumb from the loader valve and install separate valves for additional remotes. I am plowing new ground so don't assume I am knowledgeable (it's a learning process). All of that said I wish I had the factory rear controls. Many thanks, Neil

Do I install the couplers with A) dry threads, B) threads with hydraulic oil on them, or C) something else (explain).
2) the new lines contains air. Will this be replaced by A) cycling the valve control lever (forward, neutral, backward) a few time, or B) something else (explain).
3) Tractor old female hydraulic coupler missing dustcap.
Was thinking about replacing or cleaning.
If cleaning, would use paper towels, q-tips, hydraulic oil, wd40, and compressed air. Was thinking it was okay as long as I did not depress the center valve.

Hi, I installed a Leon Loader on my 1971 Ford 5000 . Fabricating brackets was fairly easy but now I'm at the stage of hooking up the hydraulics. I have a new Cross SBA22 control valve. I just don't know how to hook up the inlet and outlet hoses from it to the remote hydraulics. The remote valve has one lever with two hoses. After reading on the net I'm lost about return to sump lines, ASC valves, etc.
Option # 2
I have a Front mount pump from a 861. Are there shafts and pulley mounts to be able to use that? I know I would have to have a hydraulic reservoir but that's not a problem.
Sorry for the rambling but would sure appreciate any help, Pete

Guys , I am brandnew here , I have a l245 dt kubota that I put a loader on , And then my manual steering box shattered , I cant find an aftermarket powersteering conversion kit anywhere , So I need some help ..Im thinking the only thing I can do is to mount a hydraulic steering valve under the dash , Make a short push pull cylinder for the steering arm .. If I am thinking right this is probably the easiest and cheepest way to accomplish this .. But I dont know what size of hydraulic valve ill need , I dont know if I need a priority valve also , And I dont know the best place to hook the lines into . And where can I get a good deal on these components , New or Used .........Anybody who can assist with any info or pics of thier project, That would be great . Thanks all

I purchased this little tractor a couple of years ago mostly for the front loader. It is in really good shape with very low hours and appears to have been well taken care of. I use it now mostly for mowing our 5 acres. Now the problem..... the hydraulics seem to sputter going up almost like it has air in the lines. It has done this for as long as I have had it and is not getting any better or worse. I have used the loader a lot since I have had it, but am no expert with it! The only other experience I have had was with a Ford 4000 with a Freeman loader years ago. I'm not sure it is lifting as much as it should, but I realize it is a small utility tractor.... It will not pick the front wheels completely off the ground with down pressure much to my surprise! I have changed the hyd. filter and put new hyd. oil in it as recommended by our New Holland dealer. Someone told me not to worry about it as it has air in the system and will work itself out eventually. I'm not buying it as I have used it long enough now to have self vented if that were the case.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I have a Takeuchi TB016 1.6 Ton Mini Excavator that has lost the ability to raise the boom. All the other cylinders, slew motor and travel motors function properly.
The hoses can be swapped on the boom cylinder and the cylinder will extend to raise the boom but then will not retract to lower it.
I have the service manual, and in the Troubleshooting section it addresses no movement of the cylinder but not movement in one direction only.
The cylinder was recently rebuilt at the local hydraulic shop, but if I can swap hoses and make it work, doesn't that eliminate the cylinder from being the problem?

Hi everyone,

Hi everyone,

I have a slight problem with my new (to me) old loader. Its a McCormick Power Loader #50 on an IH 460 utility. 12GPM hydraulic Pump. I had the cylinders rebuilt and all the hoses replaced by a professional, and just installed them. This is the first time the loader has been used in 20 years.

Problem: Lift arms and bucket come down extremely slowly.

Goods: Lift arm goes up very quickly, bucket goes up very quickly. As the lift arms and buckets go down, there is pretty good power. I can easily lift the front end of the tractor off the ground. Its just slow as molasses.

I have slightly more than the recommended hytrans oil in it. (10+ gallons). I haven't checked the oil filter yet, or messed around with the valves. Oil filter is brand new this winter. I haven't checked it yet because I hate loosing expensive oil. If someone thinks that could be it, I'll give it a shot. No significant leaks.

Could it be air in the lines? Valve adjustment?

Thanks

I will not use the Grapple often and dont want to put alot of money into 3rd funtion remotes, and single button controllers.

my question is can I just add a single spooler control to operate the opening and closing of the grapple by just teeing off the pressure and suction lines that go to the spooler control for the front end loader?

If this is not possible what the the next low cost option? There are not aux hydralic ports.
