I am considering a CT235 to do alot of brush cutting, tilling and loader work and maintain my yard with a finish mower. Have not decided on a a mid mount or 3pt as the cost for the mid PTO and deck is alot but it is nice option . One thing I have not noticed does this tractor have steering brakes? I would like to add a hyd top link and box blade down the road any one do this yet with there's? Any cab owners ( i believe Sim's makes it for them) I'm real close to getting this machine just want some more opinions. I am a medically retired disabled vet with 6 acres and I do some brush hog and tilling for friends and family here and there my current setup is too small.

Hi,

Did anyone out there order a machine C225, C230, C235 size earlier in the year with the Deluxe package? What did the deluxe package contain? I'm under the impression that the deluxe package contained loader joystick, mid PTO and some other items?

I'm about to take delivery of a C230. The dealer quoted me the deluxe package on the sales contract which is no longer available. Hence I want to ensure they will be delivering a comparable machine.

Thanks,

Finally, saved enough to purchase a few additions for my CT235. I need your input/advice. I'm going to TSC for a 7' landscrape rake. I am also going to get a Box Blade, and a Finish Mower. Here's where I need advice. I can't decide if I should get the 5' or 6' KK (countyline) BB. Bobcat spec says the CT235 can handle a 6' BB, anyone using one? The other issue is that they have a older (but new) Caroni 5' FM for $1,150.00 or a NEW KK 6' FM for $1,500.00. I really want a 6' mower since I already have a 54" deck on my Cub Mower. But is the extra foot worth the additional $350.00? That could start my savings account for the tiller I want to get for next year..

Thanks for your suggestions.

I bought a B100 turbo loader and backhoe from a fleet dealer with 480 hours on the machine. After about 6 months, it quit moving, wound up being the rear end gears. Rebuilt it myself, pinion and ring gear kit was about 1300.00, a lot for two gears. Now, about 140 hours later, the gears have broken again. I have been careful to accelerate and decelerate slowly so it doesn't jerk and haven't really abused it at all. Is my tractor a lemon, or is this something Bobcats have a weakness for? I can't afford to rebuild it every couple years at 1300.00 a pop, which seems excessive for the two gears and an assortment of shims and bearings.

Hello to all:

I have a Bobcat CT235. I received in Sept. and have about 25 hours. It has been great so far. But -

A few days ago, the tractor wouldn't start ... sounded like a dead battery. I just got that horrible "clicking" noise and the engine didn't turn over. I jumped the tractor and it started right up. I mowed for about 3 hours and parked.

The next day the tractor wouldn't start again ... just clicked.

So, I called the dealer and they came out and checked everything over and concluded the battery was bad. They said the alternator is fine and all fuses are fine. They still charged $100 for a service call which I'm not particularly happy about.

Anyone else have an issue with their battery going bad so fast?

Thanks.
