Hi all,

Have some questions as my skidsteer is in need of some serious touchup. I have substantial rust in several areas, very pitted. Some rust in other areas, but not nearly as bad. I tried using a wire brush to remove rust, but that was a waster of time. I am going to try an angle grinder on those areas that have alot of rust.

So if I do get all the rust off and flaking paint what do I use for primer and paint? I was thinking just remove the rust and get down to bare steel and then use rust-oleum as the primer and buy a few spray cans of white paint from the Bobcat dealer. Is there a better or easier way? I want it to look good when done and last a long time too. I don't want bubling or flaking paint like I have now. Whoever had the machine before me did a piss poor job of touching up the paint and it is in pretty bad condition. I figure I will be painting about 40% of the machine as it stands now. Would it make sense to just paint the whole machine? I am not a painter, nor do I have any painting equipment.

This week I noticed a small pool of oil below the left drive motor. The entire area around the motor looks wet. My question is, is it more likely to he a hose issue, or motor seal failure? Also, if it a motor leak, can the motor be re-sealed or must it be rebuilt? Machine has 2300 hours.

I bought a 310 last year and it has been working OK shifting dirt and clearing.
Now that I have started to do some serious landscaping, the 310 has become increasingly sluggish about lifting and tilting a bucket of dirt. The engine still runs well.
I've ordered a new hydraulic oil filter and hope this will make the difference.
If this doesn't cure the problem, I guess the problem would be with the 3 spool hydraulic controller or the hydraulic pump itself. I found a Youtube video that shows how to recondition the controller but I wondered if anyone has had any success in substituting a different controller such as a Prince Manufacturing Wolverine 3 Three Spool Hydraulic 4W3P Valve 8GPM MB31BBB5C from eBay?
BTW, the 310 came with the original user manual and almost all of the service manual apart from chapter 8.

Hey guys, I've got a 2006 T300. Rented a trencher attachment and ran it for about 12 hours. Since then the T300 beeps at low idle and shows an error code: 05-14, extremely low hydraulic charge pressure. Bought the service manual but can't get much insight from it. A buddy looked at it and said the drive belt seems tight. We pulled the relay cap off of the pressure sending unit which let the machine run (instead of shutting it down when it's at a low idle).

Couple things:
1) Before pulling the relay the machine would beep at low idle and shut down in about 15 seconds. However, if I boosted the throttle the warning would clear and the machine seemed to operate normally.

2) After removing the relay the machine seems to have little to no hydraulic power to operate the lift & tilt at low idle. At high idle I feel like the machine doesn't have as much power as it should but it does operate. If I had to guess I'd say it seems like it lost 25% of its total power when at high idle.

3) I was running it yesterday at about 60% throttle. When moving forward/ backward there was a noticeable whining noise that seemed to be coming from both drive motors. Raising the throttle stopped the whining but it worried me because I'd never heard that before. (I did tighten the tracks that morning before beginning so I relaxed them a little bit. That didn't help the whining, but as mentioned above the throttle did.)

I feel like the low hydro pressure message is legitimate especially given that the machine seems underpowered. Should I get another pressure sensor? Any other diagnostic advice?

My s750 just turned 800 hours. In all the years I've had Bobcats (I've owned 12 high flow machines), I've never come across this.. and I've seen just about everything I think.

When my auxiliary hydraulics are on, at high RPM on standard or high flow, a loud whistle-like sound has developed. I've traced the sound to the auxiliary lines or possibly the couplers. The sound is coming from near the couplers but as I stated, it could be the lines directly behind the auxiliary couplers. It's not a vibration, rattle, or anything like that. It's a high-pitched whistle but it's definitely coming from outside the cab and I can hear it with the A/C on and ear plugs playing music. I stepped out the machine and ran an attachment at full rpm and the sound was still there. What's odd is if I roll the tilt cylinders back the sound stops for a second or two and it only whistles when the RPM's are up and the flow is at maximum either standard or high-flow.

Has anyone ever come across this? I've gone through plenty of couplers but never heard this sound before. Could it be a couple failing on the inside and a restriction causing the sound? Any advice/thoughts would be appreciated.

I also have a "chirp" sound coming from under the cab. The dealer has looked at it two times and says I have tube lines rubbing together at high frequency but they couldn't find the exact culprit. I'm sending it back to the shop, soon for another problem and I'm going to request they do whatever is necessary to find that "chirp" as it's driving me crazy. It only chirps when the hydraulics bog down.. but other than that sound, have no noticeable loss of performance.
Again, any help in the right direction would be appreciated.
