I suppose you don't need but another reply here but I do understand. Some say 'it' is just a pet. I have had a fair number of pets, but I did have one that was special... like a family member. When I had to put her down after 13 years, it was probably the hardest thing I ever had to do. There is no replacement for a very much loved one. Don't let anyone tell you he was just a pet.
