    I don't think I've ever seen it put better.

    When I was working it was sometimes difficult to get younger engineers out from behind their desks and go into the "field" to talk to the drilling supervisors that were actually implementing the plans that they had labored over. Every time they did it was an eye opening experience for them. The first thing the usually learned was a little humility. They found out first hand that some of those guys, while not being particularly well educated, were still very, very smart and extremely good at what they did. When they told you something, you'd better listen. Education comes in all different forms.

    Good luck with the new job. I don't know what I'd do if I had to go back to the daily grind again. One thing is for sure, I wouldn't be looking forward to it. Retirement is WONDERFUL.
