LOL! THANKS, guys!! I appreciate the encouragement and the kind words about our humble abode! :) We've been here 4 years now. We looked for a place for about 9 months before we stumbled on this place by accident. It's just shy of 5 acres. It's a lot of work for this gray haired ol' fat guy, but I sure enjoy it. As an added bonus, I get to work from home so I am often treated to seeing deer and other wildlife while working or on a conference call.

My brother has had several cubs over the years. He converted one to 12v but ended up changing it back to 6v. The starter drive kept breaking because there was just too much power on 12v. The 12v starter apparently won't fit the earlier tractors.

For sure count me in on thumbs up for this project. You got me hooked from the story about it being your granddad's Cub. From my perspective you can't beat nostalgia and memories like you have in this. Hope you're successful with the restore!!
