1957 Farmall 130, specs anyone?
IH fans, can anybody tell me a little about this model tractor, how it compares to the Super-A, etc?
Thanks,

Rich, Thanks for the info. Looks like the 130 must be a bigger machine if its that much heavier.

The "A" evolved into the "1xx" series. All the Farmalls switched from the letter series to the number series about the same time. There were upgrades, and style changes, but it is the same basic machine till final production in the late 70's.

Did you, by any chance, find one that someone wants to get rid of??? If it's in running shape, you could do worse than pick it up. I have a '57 230 rowcrop that I wouldn't give up for a bunch of $$. Tell us about it (if there is one....). BobG in VA

Yup, a friend of mine did a nice restoration about 5 years ago. He's onto his second project and I'm planning on purchasing the 130 from him. It has a Wood belly mower. I'll get some pics out there, but the 100K limit on them makes it a pain.

Re: 1957 Farmall 130, specs anyone?
What happened to hydraulics???I would cut the price about $300-400 based on that. 130's are really nice tractors, but your friends will need new rear tires soon (if you plan on using it for other than mowing your yard) and they hydra. to put it back into shape. Also check for "slop" in the steering. good luck! BobG in VA

Looks ok from the picture...
What's up with the come-along on the mower deck? There's some parts missing from the lift/linkage. Someone mentioned hydraulics too. And steering slop... I would ask about that stuff before buying.
