I see what they are for, manual planting or cultivating. What I wonder about is the drive. If one axle is locked, does that double the speed of the tractor?

If I were to guess it's only got one drive wheel, the other is a dead wheel, but who knows, the frame is big enough to hide someone to drive the other wheel.
I thought the same thing but then saw the access places on the framing and figured there must be a rason. I don't think gearboxes would fit so I assumed it might be a chain drive with a chain in each vertical portion of the frame and a shaft at the top to connect the 2 chains.
