The solenoid is a built-in part of the pump. When this tractor quits running, are you sure you then have 12 volts at the solenoid? You will need to verify that's the case. In other words, you could have an electrical problem up in the dash. If the solenoid is defective, then you would need to remove the pump and take it to a service shop specializing in Bosch pumps. On mine, the fix was simple....a bad clip-on connector...

I'm very interested in the problem with your tractor dying going uphill. Have you found the problem? Please let us know, I might have that same problem someday....
