Looking at a 360 with a loader, 445 hrs for about $8,000. Deal?

Sounds like a fair price to me, I bought one new in 2006 for $16,675.00, it's never been back to the shop, which is a good thing as there is no shop for it to go back to, seriously I have been well pleased with mine. Good luck.

Make sure when you go look at the tractor that the frame around the engine block connecting to the front end loader is not cracked! I purchased a 2004 360DTC with 4in1 bucket, grader box, back hoe, and trailer with 400 hours on it for about 10,000. It was used for logging and snow removal. I didn't notice the crack when I purchased it, but had to weld more steel on the frame to be able to handle any load. This is a very good tractor for any kind of around the farm work, but if you get into any tough digging or loading your going to have to reinforce the frame of the tractor and back hoe.

I just picked up my Farmtrac DTC360 yesterday,wiith a 5ft Bush hog squeeler,5 ft Box blade, 6ft grading blade and a 6 ft disc with 320hrs for $9300. Everthing works except the rear work light. Will post photos asap. I didn't want to go to work today just wanted to stay home and get very familar with my new hired hand.

We just discovered in another thread that "Farm Track" Tractors are manufactured by LS tractors. So if you have an LS dealer near by, maybe you should look in with them and see if they can service/get parts for this tractor you are looking at. Just a thought. I would think they should be able to get parts, or at least know who to put you in contact with. If they don't, I can't help but think it's more just because they don't want to then a case of really not being able to help.

I believe the Fartrac was made in India or Africa by Escort. The are a copy of a Ford. LS picked them up a few years ago.

Some were made in India.
Some were made by LS in South Korea.
The 360 DTC was LS.

My Farmtrac 360 DTC states on the id tag made in South Korea, but the engine clearly has in large letters Made In Japan. I live close to Houston and have found parts available at New Holland and LS dealers already and several more places to buy parts and to have service.

Well because I have no experience with tractors and/or diesel motors, my (new to me) Farmtrac 360 wouldn't start or even try to start after I returned home from working with it out in the woods. I'm very thankful that it waited to be on the trailer before it decided to crash. After trying everything I could think of I took it to a man who seems to be honest and fair. His view of what's wrong after checking is a inline fuse that burned and a bad key switch. He also suggested changing all fluids and filters since it seems only the oil filter had ever been changed. For these repairs and also sharping the blade on the SQ160 he's asking $600 does this sound like a fair price. Of course at this time I know how to do none of these except maybe change the oil.

Does that include the filters and oil. May have $200 or so there. Should need 10 gallons or so of hyd oil. Hyd filter, 2 fuel filters, oil filter.
I think new blade for my squealer were about $40 a piece don't know about sharpening cost.
My guess would be an hour to change the switch and fuse and that's being generous, an hour to change all the fluids and an hour to sharpen the blades.
At $200 for oil and filters, maybe $50 for switch and fuse that's $350 for 3 to 4 hours work.
You make the call. Changing the fluids is no harder than changing the oil. Drain and refill, replace the filters
