Farmtrac 390HST
Hey,

So I've taken the responsibility to service all of my mothers equipment.

We have a 2004 Farmtrac 390HST.

I've searched high and low for these parts/filters/etc.

I can't find the hydraulic filter. Napa has no idea. I looked online, a website parts for farmtrac says but im not sure if the part#LG4399 is correct.

What it said on the Hydraulic filter: Escort D1013986

Also the manual doesnt say where the drain and fill plug is on this model for the hydraulic system, Im also unsure if the hydrostatic transmission has
a drain and fill as well.

Anyone that could help me find that darn filter that would be great.

NAPA has never failed to find a filter for me. I have had to ask the counter guy to call over the expert, some of the newer guys are not as good on the search. Have you goggled those part numbers? Is Farmtrac a rebranded something else? Follow that route also. The HST and the hydraulics are probably a joint system using the same filter and drain. Have you tried to get a Farmtrac owners or better, shop manual? They are worth their weight in gold. Take the old filter to NAPA and they may find a substitute by matching physical features. Most filters are made on the same pattern, just different sizes and threads. Oil and hydraulic filters work the same unless the hydraulic is on the pump discharge, which I doubt. There should be a strainer on the pump suction also.

I believe the filter you seek is a NAPA # 1715 hydraulic filter, and they are proud of it, parts man told me it was due to the fact that it has metric threads. If you use the search option you should be able to find a lot of information on filters and such. Good luck.
