Dealer My Farmtrac dealer carries Montana

When my 360 TLB was delivered from my small Farmtrac dealer in May he had one of each model on the lot with his used large deere's. Historically he had been a used dealer and had been new to the Farmtrac line. I was by a couple of weeks ago and was surprised to see Montana's on the lot out numbering the Farmtrac's 2-1. Two folks inside in seperate conversations told me that they plan to continue both lines. I know that his original market was large cab tractors and he has that with Montana but now wonder if this is the way the wind is blowing elsewhere?

The dealer that I bought my Montana from now carries Farmtrac. He did not when I bought my Montana.

Didn't Montana buy the percentage (49%?) of Farmtrac that Universal held?

No, they sent out a letter saying they "intended" to purchase a minority stake in FarmTrac however, Escort's did not let that happen.

I do believe UTB only held 24 or 25% of the old Long company.

Your right Woody. What happened to Mahindra/ UTB deal? I understand that is still going. Have you heard anything.
