Default What to plant on my roads

I have fresh cut roads running through my property and I am looking to plant something to hold the ground. I dont want anything that is high maintence but if I have to mow it once/twice a year that is fine. Any recomendations? I really dont want it planted in a way that will compeet with my food plots as I seem to have a good thing going.

Dont know where you are, but if in Texas you might consider Buffalo grass. You can also have your local AG extension agent come out and give you recommendations on site.

Creeping red fescue will hold up well to traffic. Plant before predicted light rain, cheap to plant and easy maintenance.
