This buck has started hanging around lately. Hope he is still here in Oct.

The Big ones seem to know when Season Starts, and disappear. It must be a "Seventh Sense" relating to Nature. Here's wishing You success this coming season.

If you live in farm country the does will flock to the plot after the crops are harvested. And the bucks will come with them. You have a nice looking plot.

Looking good. Does your bow season open while bucks are still in velvet?

Good question. NOT NORMALLY but weather patterns seem to be off. We have an early bow opener on 01 Oct in our zone and they are normally bare by then. They seemed late getting the antlers started this year so not sure if they will keep velvet longer. I just finished mowing the food plots for the second time this year, so that woul normally be it for the year but we have had 156mm of rain in June which normally has 80mm. Weeds were taller than me. May be doing a third cut in Aug if this continues.
