Here's some popcorn i grew last year. That was my first time growing it, straight out of a bag that you would by at any grocery store, kind of an expirement. It got about 8' tall, I fed it to a few cows. I'm gonna grow some again for them

Did you broadcast or did you use a planter when planted the popcorn? Do you think deer would find it palatable ?

It was a small area, so i made small rows with a hoe, dropped the seeds in by hand, covered it and watered. When it came up i made small trenches to fill with water between the rows (just to make things quicker and easier) but to answer your question, you would use a planter. Exact same as corn. I dont know about the deer thing, im sure they would do well on it though ;)

Thanks, I'm planning on some corn for a plot screen around my food plots, if the popcorn gets 8 ft tall and the deer will eat it that would be great!

Glad i could help! As you could see on one of my pictures i posted, in the corner it really short, that's due to not enough water flowing to it. I think corn would be the same. But ya if the sufficient water is there that stuff grows well

Deer ate every thing in my garden for the last 2 years but left the corn.

Huh... I thought deer would have loved it... Cows do

Loved my tomatoes, peppers, cuke's and even dug up my potatoes but left the corn.

I don't have any recent pictures but here are a few from years past. Whitetail institutes clover.
