An older Ford will be in my garage eventually, so I appreciate the expertise given here by him and others.

good basic work tractors.. good parts support depending on t he model, some very good.. pretty easy to work on. I consider them the average mans tractor.. etc.

if you are gonna get one to play with in the 35-45hp range I have 2 suggestions.. a gasser 55-62 860/861 preferably with factory power steering (or 63/64 4000 with dual clutch and ps).. or a newer 3 cyl 3000 diesel , power steering, 8spd dual stick tranny with dual clutch. if you need a larger machine.. then a 4000/4600/5000 would be quite a bit of tractor..

thanks.. but I'm pretty much a ford guy. I've dabbled with the green orange and red ones.. buyt like the grey, greynred,and blue ones the best.. :)
