And those connections look awful.
The whole wiring job on it does not look that good.

Ran but stumbled on Thursday. Ran for ~30 minutes then died. Couldn't restart. Charged battery and tried again on Friday. Ran for ~30 minutes and then died again.
I had issues when under a heavy load of snow where the engine would start stumbling for a few minutes -- like it was going to stall. Put the clutch in, messed with the throttle, etc. but nothing seemed to work. Time seemed to be the best fix -- 2 to 3 minutes and it would pick back up.
I didn't realize there was a shut off in the tank -- I knew there was one in the glass bowl. Besides draining and removing the fuel tank is there any way to check the tank for debris? I shined a flashlight in there and didn't see anything alarming, but then again you can't see much.
I know you all have said that my sediment bowl/filter on the gas tank could be clogged, but wouldn't that not be an issue because all of the gas coming out last night? E.g. with the carb off and I open the dial on the fuel shut off 2 turns, or fully out, fuel started to pour out of the fuel line. Even with the carb hooked up fuel was coming out.
I am going to try and find Autolite 437's locally. NAPA didn't have them and the guy at Tractor Supply looked at me like I was crazy when I asked about carb gaskets and spark plugs. The auto store "parts plus" is next.
