Ok so I replaced the inner and outer seals on my 1950 8n. I found out my hubs were worn so I replaced those too. I've done the axle pre load with the shims according to the FO manual so the hubs turn in opposite directions. What I'm not clear on is how tight or how hard should it be to turn the rear hubs when I put them back together? I have to use both Hands and put a little more effort into turning the hubs than I thought would be normal. Do I have the bearings too tight? Maybe I need to add another shim on the litter race?
