Hey gang, I recently got around to throwing some paint on the tractor and I bought the paint from TSC. Ford Red and Ford Gray. Red turned out great but the gray Im not sure.... Its almost like it needs to be a tan color for the 861. Did I not see the tan on the shelf or is this the right color? I looked at TSC's website but cant find any other colors than Ford Gray, Blue, Red...

I think I might hit up the dealer tomorrow and see what kinda paint they have.

I know Plumbing is spelled wrong on the toolbox.... out last maintenance kid wasnt the sharpest tool in the shed...

Watch out about using cinder blocks on their side. Your jack stands at the front can easily punch through the block wall. Blocks are great in compression when standing upright. Not so good as you have it.

I believe the color you"re thinking of is "Buff" not tan.

"...Near the end of 1960 Ford introduced the first of the Thousand series tractors as Industrial models. These tractors were painted red and "buff" and were basically modified "01" series models with a different seat, industrial tread rear tires, and a heavier fixed width front axle. The light industrial models were the 2030 and 4030 with the 4040 being the heavy industrial. It was basically the same as the earlier 1801 industrial tractors..."
