    Default New 860 owner

Decided late in life to pursue the old dream of a farm. Killed a Belarus 560 learning tractor lore and went without for a few years. Just happened onto the world's ugliest Ford 860 last month because it belonged to a co-worker and I hope to restore it to useability. I am on the forum to shorten my learning curve and get this tractor up and running. Tim

    ahh.. an 860 nice machine.

good 172ci strong 45ish hp engine.. live pto via a 2 stage clutch.. live hyds.. etc.

    very nice machine.

will play with a 5' rough mower and work a 6' rough mower well. plays good with a 6' box blade and 7' angle blade.. and will pull a 2-14 bottom plow thru clay..

if it still has the small carb it won't be horrible on gas either.. and only shy about 3 hp from it's hungrier older brother the 861
