Well, slowing the PTO won't do. I think this idea is a bust, at least using the "8 Speed" from that era. I might have to focus on "newer" transmissions, possibly from 1980 and on. That "Dual-Power" was made in 1990 for a 4630 standard....with 16 forward gears, I'm sure that the first 5 gears are under 5mph...but I'll have to do some research at the local New Holland dealer (use to be Ford).
Unless someone can tell me about the newer transmissions.....
8spd should be fine for the pto. it is a twin stick hi low range deal.
