I recently purchased this tractor, supposedly a '62, and it needs some work. Does anyone have a suggestion as to which manual I would need to know which parts I need: ball joints, steering, engine, etc. Thanks in advance.
Soundguy, thanks for the help. Will check out those manuals as soon as possible. I'm in Central Florida too - what a coincidence? We'll get some pics up in a couple of days. Thanks again.
I agree with Soundguy. As an additional comment, I would suggest looking on e-bay. You may find some old dealer's shop manuals, owner's manual, sales literature or what-have-you. Good luck! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I have a Ford Service Manual that is a compilation of many tractors for years 1954-1964. It covers tractors series 600, 700,800,900,501,601,701,801,901,1801,2000,and 4000. Whew! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif The part number for reference at your New Holland Dealer is 40060090 (SE8175) and it was published in 1992.
Thanks to you, too, jinman. That is the manual I just bought, and it has the info I needed. Once I get caught up on the mowing that our wonderful rain has created, I can concentrate on my new "project".
