Ford 3000 Gas
I have recently purchased a used Ford 3000 3 cyl. gas tractor. My first question is on the serial number info. If I am reading it right it is a 1965. The second set of numbers is 5B03B. According to one web site the 5 stands for 1965. Does the earlier tractors have numbers in brackets? As such: (5B03B)??? To me it looks like a 1975.

Also, do they make PTO belt pulleys for these?

Thanks to all.

Ask the moderator to move this thread to the New Holland Operating forum.
They know the serial numbers better than I know them.

the 5 in the date code can be 65 or 75.. B is february.

Post the model ID... pre 4-68 model ID would start with a 3 for a 3000 post 4-68 will start with a C.. don't be confused by the SN though as us model sn's had a C prefix, english ones, a B prefix (basildon ), and belgium ones an A prefix ( antwerp )

early hoods had louvers.. but then.. metal can be changed around too..

pics and the ballance of the numbers will help us ID it for you.

so far it is feb 3, day shift, either 65 or 75
