Garden Tractor

It is a hydrostatic 123. I am researching this and I am curious if this is a good deal? Obviously this will need serious work and/or complete overhaul, and I don't have a clue as to how much I would have to put in to make it workable.

I live on an acre and I would use it to till a garden, keep the back that is somewhat wild mowed, and plow snow. It has the attatchments that I would need.

I think it's a hoot that they are asking $300 for it!!!

I have a IH 129 about the same tractor and I used it to mow my grass till about a year and a half ago. They typically have a K series Kohler cast Iron engine on them. They were not throw away units. The question is what is really wrong with it? You could spend a small fortune if the engine is shot.

$300.oo...hmmm,price and pic my gut feeling saying CC maybe tad tried and $$'s needed for TLC.
If you live close,maybe good idea for test drive etc.
