vanguard diahatsu sd950 diesel

i have a 3 cyl daihatsu diesel engine in a mule that has a dead cylinder. anybody had one of these apart? where is the best place to get parts, new or used? thanks. mark
engine runs and keeps oil pressure even when hot, does not loose coolant. im thinking rings or piston? valves are adjusted correctly. lots of blow by but will run all day. anybody have any experience? thanks again


after pulling the head it looks like the rings are gone in #3 cylinder. i can almost see the pan through the gap!!! looks like a have a place to start.thanks

Sounds like time for a new engine or a short block.
Don't know how much you can re bore.
Most small diesels have a very thin cylinder wall, and most are not a wet liner.
