I am interested in buying a zero turn to mow 2 acres with lots of trees. I have found a used 2005 one owner John Deere 757 with a Kawasaki engine & a 60 inch deck in good shape. It has 200 hours on it & runs & looks good. They want $5000 for it.
I looked at a new Dixon DX161 with a Kawasaki engine & 61" deck. I can get it for $6000. Any advice on which way I should go?:confused2::confused2:

catfish40,
Those both sound like good deals and I just bought my first ZTR and the Dixon DX152 was on my "short list" before settling on my Gravely. Just in case you don't know, the Dixons are now made by Husqvarna(since about 2010 I think), but are still a very good quality mower for the money. Since I was looking at $6,000 for the 52" Dixon at my local dealer, the DX161 for the same amount is indeed a very good price for a brand new one!!! Just FYI, I ended up giving $6,800 out-the-door($6,280 plus tax) for my Gravely Pro-Turn 152 XDC commercial and never looked back(that was about $1,000 less than MSRP). If you have a Gravely dealer nearby, I would highly recommend you take a look at them(VERY well built with excellent warranty).
