Getting garden plot ready to begin planting

Those are some really long rows!

Back when I was a kid and my dad would fuss at me for planting such wavy rows, I'd tell him that you got more plants per row that way. Never did get him to see my side of that argument.

These onion rows are 185 feet long and there are 7-3/4 rows! I was in a hurry to get them in the ground, so wasn't too concerned bout' the straight rows, LOL!!!---we had 30 bunches = 1 case and usually it comes out to around 4,500 - 5,000 plants.---yes we love onions! LOL!!!--- give most of them to the mission to use in their kitchen.--We have a high rate of softball size onions when we harvest them in late July-early August.
One neighbor gets dibs on a couple dozen of the big guys!---I get water for the garden from him and I can get any amount of gallons that is needed! --His tanker is just down and across the road and always full during the spring and summer! thanks; sonny 580
