I recently purchased 33 acres of mesquite near Wichita Falls, TX. My dad is kind enough to loan me his bulldozer to clear the land with. I have had a little experience on it in the past but nothing like what I've gained over the last two or three days. I have a whole new appreciation for the men that ran these machines all day every day!
My grandad purchased this dozer used (not sure when, but probably in the 1970's) and when he died in 2000 it passed to my dad. It has been used and probably abused in its life, but it still pushes things around. It leaks a little transmission fluid and the brakes are not good once they get hot, but it runs great. The little 2-71 Detroit purrs like a kitten.
Pictures of course....
And what it has been busy doing...
