Best pre-1970 tractor.
If you could have only one pre-1970 tractor under 30 HP, what would you get?

My old MF-135…
Well a bit more than your “30hp”… anyone that had the Perkins 152 cid Super Diesel…
I’ll take a Massey 35, 135, or 150… all pre-1970… but ~ 37 PTO hp…

I think I would have to agree that tractor would be in top of the running John. She is in real nice condition too!

Hey, John. I have never heard of a 150. I assume they are a "newer" model 50, but have never seen, or heard of one. Those 135 do seem to be a nice tractor. Perfict size, good power, good parts avalability. Would not be suprised if one becomes my "next" tractor. [I never ends does it. Are the bird droppings on the hood extra, or are they included in the price?

Re: Best pre-1970 tractor.
You make it tough to fit your parameters with the 30 hp, and most folks have given you ideas greater than 30. For truly under 30 hp, I'd say one of the Ford Ns or a Ferguson 20. If you want to "fudge" it up slightly over 30 hp, then you have to consider the Ford NAA, 600s, 800s with the Massey-Fergusons. I pick those models because they all still have good parts support and are very flexible. I don't think you will find any 4WD tractors in the pre-1970 group.
