Marijuana Harvester???

A person I went to school with is a legal Medical Marijuana grower. From what I know of it a machine could not do what needs to be done. Pretty amazing to see the level of security involved. Silent alarm to house set off by motion detecters, video from all directions. Two 12' high fences with barbed wire on top spaced about 8' apart with two super nasty dobermans inbetween. All of the above is there to alert the always present well armed guard stationed in a trailer next to the growing area. I don't know if he even makes a profit.

Yea but after you feed your goats that they would realy eat everything in sight.:laughing::laughing: I came across a 30 acre field around the Houston area while installing fiber optics a few years back. (my guys actually found it) when i got there i told them to hurry up and get the cable up and get out of there. Just as we finished 5 cop cars pulled up and asked what we were doing there and told us that "we didn't see anything and should leave and not come back". They escorted us straight to the gate and watched us leave. Guess we found their stash lol:laughing::laughing:

In my area fields like this will often be put under surveillance for several days and anyone who shows up will be questioned and advised not to let the information out to warn off the growers. If no one is caught within a few days or so the crop will be destroyed with great fan fare.

Should California legalize mary jane, it will still be illegal under federal law. That should result in some interesting cases.

The "implement" most used to harvest around here is called a "Chuy".

BTW - I plan to vote against legalization.

...but I wonder how well it would grow out here in the desert. Hmmmm.....

From what I have seen, it would be really hard to design such equipment for a high quality product, but one should never underestimate the ingenuity of modern agriculture.

If they can mechanically separate chicken, they can do anything.

Unless, of course, that machine is just a glorified wood chipper...

I don't think they quite have this perfected. My wife knows I won't touch a mechanically separated chicken.:laughing:

The Hearst family and the Duponts made enough stink to make it illegal.

The Hearsts were worried over all the acres of woodland they owned and when it was found that the hemp could be mechanically stripped and would actually make a better as well as cheaper paper! They just kept making it front page news!


About the same time the Duponts had just found how to make Rayon and Nylon and the hemp was again a cheaper solution. The Duponts had a relative that was made the drug czar for the USA and that is how they used their power to have it made illegal.

Now you'd have the drug industry fighting it being made legal as well!

Just goes to show, big government is bad as well as big business!

How much can you afford? Total savings to have it made legal with it being taxed, it would mean less prisons(fight the unions), Less police (fight the unions), Cut the size of the DEA and probably a couple of other branches of the government (fighting more unions).

Total, in about five years time (needed to stop feeding the system and desolve it) would probably average more then five billion savings a year in government spending conservatively!!!

Nice savings! Probably quite conservative!

Then there is the profit from the tax to consider for income! The government might not need to raise taxes for a week or two!!!

When my son was a Police Officer, he would often get dispatched to the state line to stop an incoming vehicle. Once the stop was made, the DEA, Drug Task Force and FBI Drug Unit would arrive to take over. That is a lot of people doing the same job.
