Actually a lot run. Of course there are some without engines like that black White 4000. Back in the early 2000's we had over 300 trucks. We had to move out of the yard, so we cut up and sold over 200 trucks. So right now we have about three box trailers full of parts and others laying around the yard. My dad thinks it's uncomfort able in the old B models too. We have a couple with concave cabs too. Those are even worse.

Red Horse, were you in Macungie for the truck show?

10-4 I was. Also went to the Mack Museum-first time I have been to the new location-if you haven't been there, go-much better then the old location. And I came away feeling better aboiut Mack's future as I have felt that at some point the bean counters at Volvo will say..."why do we have all this duplication" and pull the plug. that danger grows in my opinion as we "old guys" get too old to still be buying trucks. Mack-and I guess you can say the same for all brands- is very dependant on its loyal customer base.

White Western Star.
You sure??? I would say that is a 9000 White with what was known as the "corporate cab". That same truck could also be built with the regular White cab that had the flat glass one piece windshield.

Ya, pretty much, though it's kinda hard to tell from that pic. The 9000's were a little more "stubby" and compact, narrower hood..

My family has been collecting old trucks since the late seventies. It's now an obsession and we have at least 120 to 30 old rigs. Comment if you like old macks!!!

I love the pics I worked in the Mack engine factory in Hagerstown Md.

Neat pictures.

What power plant is used in that tractor/grader sitting in the weeds next to the crawler loader in the last group of pictures?

Thanks for sharing these.
