Backhoe I'd like five minutes with the gorilla who but the bucket on this hoe.

I would find out if the BH was dealer or factory installed. I have installed many buckets on Mahindra BHs. I have not had one yet that I did not have to custom fit the pins. The Gorilla may be at your dealer.

Could it be the paint on the bucket and dipper that is causing all the problems. The pin on my B26 bucket is fitted perfectly, tight but can be removed by hand or light tapping with a rubber hammer or a handy piece of wood. If you pin is tight like you described, I would look at reaming the holes out a bit.

It was either distributor or dealer. I drove the tractor with the backhoe at the distributor and it had no bucket as yet. Dealer says distributor and I'm sure the disty would say dealer. 1st shift 2nd shift kinda thing.
I don't really care who as long as they got the word and had words with the guilty party.
I think the design sorta lends itself to abuse anyway and think it could be better, even if it is standard industry practice.

No it had clearly been beat upon and abused with a BFH. The pin OD on the end had swelled from all the hammering so I dressed it down on the bench grinder. Next time I'll use my ball joint press and finesse it out.

Sometimes the "gorilla" is making (or losing) over $300 an hour, and really has no time for dicking around with "elegant solutions".

That's what Detroit said and look at them now. In a market they once owned globally and had no real competition they had their a$$es handed to them from the far side of both ponds. And make no mistake, they deserved it.

An American worker having a job and then losing it deserves it?....I would say that attitude is the reason everyone loves shopping at Chinamart....

You know that was the middle class, and the largest employer in the USA?....Now its Walmart....We deserved that?

How is Sedona? I had my eye on a chunk of property there and wanted to build and retire there but the wife got cold feet so I had to settle for staying in the People's Republic of California. I hope the space cadets and freaks aren't getting too out of hand.

I think the demise of Detroit was likely due to both the out of hand UAW and the inbreed management having their heads shoved up their backsides. Of course our politicians haven't helped much with all of their nonsense either. We need to quit saving these clowns at taxpayer expense. Chrysler has been saved twice now. If you fail, you fail and that's tough because you probably brought it on yourself. It looks like some kinda post apocalyptic or war ruin in Detroit now. One of these days people are gonna come to the simple conclusion that socialism simply DOES NOT WORK.

Yes we didnt get hit so hard when the bankers decided to crash the worlds economy.....Not cheap but reasonable....I was lucky I had a bucket of cash and bought a real nice piece of land that can be subdivided 5 times If I like....Instead I will keep all of it and have no one close to me, but still walking distance to stores!

Those hippies, freaks, what ever you want to call them are harmless....Dont seam to stay very long.....But oh the women out here!....Not sure I will ever move?
Hope to be building a real home in next 2 years or so....will see?

After thinking of this problem so more think I'll try to use my balljoint press to remove and maybe even finish pushing the pins home, next time around. I think it should work.

Astro Pneumatic 7865 Ball Joint - Suspension

If it's really stubborn, I'll put the impact wrench to it. It'll come out then.

I'd rather use it for that than replacing ball joints. I really do hate that job.

Put the pins in the freezer overnight. Warm the bores of the joints a little and slide the pins in PDQ... have a dead blow ready to finish the last few inches if necessary. That is of course if everything is still lined up....

There's a couple of pins I have to do regularly and any pressure on the parts from the hydraulics makes it impossible to drive them out. I'll sit there with my fingers on the pins as the hydraulics bleed down and at one point they will slide out with a little more than finger pressure. Some patience required.

I've swapped buckets several times and the pins slid out without any effort. Gorilla must have been sick that day.
