I agree it doesn’t look steep but ZD1511 will not climb it with my 195lbs in seat all the way back & no weights up front.

It rares the front tires off the ground.

Sliding seat all the way forward hanging my boots out over the front helps tremendously lol

The first pic looking up bank on page 7 gives you a better perception of the steepness.

The bank is a good 30’ taller than the barbwire fence at the bottom.

Here’s some different angles from older pix back when I bush hogged it.

I only zero it now.

Neither do hay farmers, but all I do is repair tractors anymore.
Speaking of, was your used F that had to be split apart : cost a war pension to fix ?

I wouldn't rule out an older model. I was able to pick up a F2560E with 2000 hours for $5,000 in good shape last year. So far it has been great. Previous owner even threw in the 2 new tires and 4 anti-scalp rollers with the deal that he had not changed out yet. I use it for cutting rough ground such as horse turnouts. It handles rough ground better than the ZD1211.

I am curious about F handling rough ground better since I have a pasture that's a bit rough and will have more semi-rough yard to mow later this year.

What is you opinion please - is it due to longer wheelbase, seat suspension, tire/wheel size or?

Tractor with a 5' side slicer flail mower is my backup mower for the rough areas.
It cuts pretty good and can mow at fairly high speed on rough ground, but leaves ag tire marks when the ground is soft.

No it was done for free by dealer
I think it was about $10,000 to fix.
