I have a 96 promaster 200 with 3000 hours that I took in trade for some work. I bought a new battery, re-built the starter. cleaned carb, straightened rods (one looked like a pretzel) but very clean inside. She now fires right up, lots of power, very fast, actually a little scary, there are some hydralic problems because she likes to creep in reverse when she is in idle.
Heres the question. Battery is draining and she dies when I unhook the positive. So bad coil right? What does the 'pulse' coil do and how does it differ from the charging coil? Radiator sits ontop of engine (fan, flywheel, coil underneath). Is this something I can fix on my own or too complicated for an average guy with a set of tools?
thanks,
Toby
