Hi! I seen the big two cylinders on Ariens dealer more 50 years ago. But my father had one Ariens 9 cv Wisconsin two speeds one reverse with bigs springs tines. No differential but ratchets in wheels.Very heavy 300-400lbs. Start with hand crank 1/4 turn because magneto. Tines was turning very fast make very good job. I crank and run this tiller from 8 years old to 18. Very easy because slow speed and long handles bar I learn to use ratchet for turn. In last tines was very expensive to replace. Good luck Oldmech!

HI! I want add this. You know. Big heavy Tiller with high speed rear tines are more easy to run than light low speed front tines tiller. Front tines tiller are very tough for humain body. I had ( Pic.) this 13 hp diesel Pasquali It was a better tiller than BCS or Grillo Because more heavy more stable with rock or root. Often I was driving with one hand.Good luck ! Oldmech

We have a Howard and I am hoping to find some way of adding a chipper attachment or retofitting this monster to somehow grind up and chipp our branches with that muscle bound engine.
