When I first started thinking about getting a tractor, I really didn't know squat about them. The guy I ended up buying my first one from had 2 smaller Mitsubishis on his lot that had what he called a "half loader". It is hard to remember quite how it was built but the lift arm was mounted in the center of the front end and the loader frame was bolted up to the front bumper and maybe to the side of the front frame. It had one lift cylinder and one dump cylinder. It wasn't at all like the single arm loaders you sometimes see on older U.S. tractors that are built basically like a conventional loader except with only one lift arm mounted on the side and mid point of the tractor. This (as best as I remember) was completely mounted to the front end with a short lift arm centered on the front.
When I told him I had never seen one like it, he said they were the only two he had ever seen.
Anyone know anything about these loaders and have any pics of them?

I have one mounted on an F195D. they are really weird to operate but they are self leveling which is nice.

How about this one mounted on an old Hinomoto TLB?

Yep, that's the one! Thanks for posting it. When I decided that I was going to build my own FEL, I was going to make a design like that. I ended up making a conventional type loader though.
I have had several small project machines over the last several years that I thought about converting to dedicated loaders and this design would be appropriate for some of them. Thanks again!

Brent,
I am trying to better picture how the Hino's loader works. It appears to only have curl/dump function but how would you dump a bucket of material if that's the case?

You know, after the third time looking at that Hinomoto, it's kinda growing on me!

Brent Does this machine have a dump on the bucket looked like it only had a blade at first, How does it dump I didnt see any cylinders other than the lift. Anyway neat rig must be old with the side shaft engine and such. Take care.

I don't know anything about that little rig. I just found that pic on the net years ago.
