I've been direct importing Kubota tractors for the last 6 years, getting into this business out of frustration at not being able to find a decent, well built, well priced compact tractor for my own "new acreage." Sound familiar?
I have found that there are very few parts challenges with direct import Kubota tractors. If my customers need a part for one of their tractors, they contact my parts department and they get it the same day.
I realized early on that I couldn't sell imported tractors without offering support, and that meant getting invested.
Offering Tractor Performance Warranties, a full complete parts departrment, an equipped service shop, on site mobile repair, owner orientation sessions, loader and implement sales, professional re-marketing, a full technical reference library and most important, the ability to personally call me at any time for any reason, even to ask "what's that little lever by the seat do again?"
Having said all that, selling, servicing and maintaining grey market tractors is a cottage industry in itself. If you research your market place before you buy one, you will find those dedicated individuals who earn an honest living out of helping people with parts, tech info, repairs etc on grey market tractors.
